Jennifer Lopez's fans are getting loud to wish her a happy birthday, and she's feeling grateful.
The "This Is Me … Now" singer thanked fans for their birthday wishes in an Instagram post after turning 55 on Wednesday, writing that she was "completely overwhelmed" and had "laughed, smiled," and "shed some tears."
Lopez went on to share reflections on her career and relationship with her fans, almost two months after canceling her summer tour and amid speculation about the state of her marriage.
"It's hard to believe we have spent all this time together," she wrote. "It's funny as I sit here contemplating on the most extraordinary journey I still feel like the same girl starting out so full of energy and bravado, so ready to take on the whole world on the outside and yet so tender, fragile and sometimes frightened but always full of love on the inside. I have so much love for you. I want you to know on my birthday that YOU are my biggest gift."
She continued, "Besides my family and friends, you have always been there for me in the good times and in the tough times. I can always count on you. And I want you to know that you can always count on me. Thank you for your caring, your understanding, your loyalty and most importantly your love."

Lopez, who released her debut studio album in 1999, also shared a look inside her "Bridgerton" themed birthday party, which was complete with horses and an orchestra.
The birthday message from Lopez came as unconfirmed rumors continue to swirl about possible trouble in her marriage to Ben Affleck, whom she did not mention by name in her post and was not seen in her birthday party video.

Earlier this month, Lopez fueled speculation that she and Affleck could be having relationship issues when she shared her own 2021 breakup song "Cambia El Paso" in celebration of its three-year anniversary. She had previously described this as a song "about change," and it includes lyrics like "her life is better now without him."

In June, Lopez reflected on online "negativity" amid the Affleck rumors and after she scrapped her tour. "It may seem like there's a lot of negativity out in the world right now … but don't let the voices of a few drown out that there is soooo much love out there," she wrote in her newsletter.
When she canceled her "This is Me…Live" tour that was planned for the summer, Lopez told fans she was "completely heartsick and devastated" but "wouldn't do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary."
"I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again," she also said at the time. "I love you all so much. Until next time…"
